THE OBJECTIVES OF ECF

  • To enable trainees to be able to render care safely and hygienically for an elderly

  • To equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to care for elderly with different disabilities

  • To equip trainees with the know-how of handling critical situations when it arises

CAREGIVING CORE MODULE

  • 6 Different Assisted Living Activities

    • Bathing

    • Movement & Mobility

    • Feeding

    • Toileting

    • Dressing

    • Continence

  • Healthy, Hygiene & Safety Care

    • Render and ensure hygiene care at all times

    • Safety as priority

    • Healthy & Appropriate Diet

  • Vital Signs Monitoring

    • Temperature

    • Blood Pressure

    • Intake/Output level

RELATIONSHIP MODULE

  • Communication and Expectation Management

    • 2-way communication

    • All parties’ expectation

  • Stress Management

    • Talk & Share

    • Never take it personal

Each trainee will undergo oral theory and practicum assessment upon completion of the 16 hours classroom training.

  • Caregiving Core Module – 12 hours
  • Relationship Module – 2 hours
