  • To enable trainees to be able to render care safely and hygienically for an elderly

  • To equip trainees with the skills and knowledge to care for elderly with different disabilities

  • To equip trainees with the know-how of handling critical situations when it arises

    • Feeding

    • Toileting

    • Dressing

    • Continence

  • Healthy, Hygiene & Safety Care

    • Render and ensure hygiene care at all times

    • Safety as priority

    • Healthy & Appropriate Diet

  • Vital Signs Monitoring

    • Temperature

    • Blood Pressure

    • Intake/Output level

RELATIONSHIP MODULE

  • Communication and Expectation Management

SITUATIONAL HANDLING MODULE

  • Administering Basic First Aid

    • Scenarios for Basic First Aid application

  • Understand Cardiac Arrest & Heart Attack

    • Recognise critical signs and symptoms

  • Administering CPR

    • Techniques

  • AED Application

    • Scenarios and procedures

    • Safety guidelines

Each trainee will undergo oral theory and practicum assessment upon completion of the 26 hours classroom training.

Course Duration:

32 hours
  • Caregiving Core Module – 24 hours
  • Relationship Module – 2 hours
  • Situational Handling Module – 8 hours
